McMillan Group was responsible for: exhibit, interior, lighting and graphic design for the ETC exhibit. The design kept the exhibit open at eye level and created a focus overhead that would showcase the effects of different ETC lighting instruments.
McMillan Group designed a modular custom shelving system with a post and curve beam raceway connecting lighting controls in a discreet chase way on one side of the exhibit to the effects in another area.
Curved white wing shapes were positioned to appear to fly up and rotate away from a center vortex that extended up to 30' high, directing the viewer's attention upward to ETC's emphasized lighting effects.
Electronic Theater Controls (ETC), a manufacturer of lighting systems for the theatre, wanted their exhibit to come to life. Solution: curved, fabric “sails” positioned above, creating a "canvas" for world renowned lighting designers to "paint" on. Lighting patterns and colors were constantly changing during show – engaging!
